Sunday Life Groups Meet at 10:45 AM following Worship

Shalom-  Room 212

Sister, we have a place for you!  We are a group of women of all backgrounds, varying in ages, yet we all have experiences to share and would be happy to welcome you into our family. We have studied series from Shane Stanford, Elizabeth George, Max Lucado and we have used the Cokesbury Adult Bible Series.

Once a month we visit the residents of Aldersgate to share cookies, games and ourselves. Individually we choose a day or two a month to deliver Meals on Wheels, work the festivals, volunteer for the wonderful five days of Vacation  Bible School, help with our youth, and serve side-by-side with others on our   Sunday morning greeting team. God is so good. Shalom, y’all.  Study leaders – Carrol Barham, Cathy Ellis, Robin Thompson, Margaret Yates & Maria Yates

Genesis- Room 213

Come and join us, male or female, young or old, single or married. There are no limits. That is true of our gender and age and generally can refer to our class discussion as well. We continue to seek God’s will for our class, our church and for each of us individually.

Currently we discuss questions the Pastor provides each week that take us deeper into the sermon we just heard. The discussion can get lively at times. We want every opinion to be heard.

We like to eat. Yes, it’s as simple as that. Someone is always up for lunch after worship or a Friday/Saturday night trip to any dining establishment near or far. We also like to meet up at football games and basketball games. We are ardent supporters, personally and monetarily, of the witness experiences Poplar Springs Drive UMC offers- greeting team, scripture readers, ushers, and the  Festivals, Vacation Bible School, Love’s Kitchen and Habitat for Humanity. We pledge as a class to make a difference through 2nd Mile Missions giving. We seek out opportunities to impact a local family with the love of Christ during the  holidays. We look forward to seeing you. Study Leaders: Irby Lang, Angie Sherrill, Grady Coleman and Dianne Shannon.

Young Adults Plus- Parlor

Although we are primarily composed of young adults, we welcome people of all ages!  We seek to encourage and support on another in life's journey, and study the Word and learn about & listen to God speaking to us.  We are currently in a series called Slaying the Giants in Your Life by David Jeremiah.

Youth-  Third Floor (Youth Hall)

This is open to students from grades 5 - 12. Each Sunday morning after the service, we spend time reflecting on Pastor Mikes's sermon through questions provided by the pastor or tweaks on the questions made by our parent-volunteer teacher, Mrs. Debbie Young. During each lesson we share stories, jokes, and Jesus often all in the same discussion in our search for truth. Mrs. Debbie teaches the class. The class is full of fun, friendship, and truth around scripture. So grab some coffee and a tasty snack, then head our way! We would love for you to come belong with us!

Children - Third Floor (Children’s Hall)

Ages 3 years (must be potty trained) to 4th grade

We have GREAT leadership! All leaders are background checked. Each lesson includes teaching the Bible story,  creating an associated craft, and other fun activities.  Each Sunday morning the children have the opportunity to engage with one another for a time for sharing the highlights of their week and meeting visitors. This is also a time to share prayer concerns followed by a teacher or child leading the group in prayer before heading to individual class rooms. Moms and Dads, leave your child with us while you go to a class of your own. Your children will be in good hands, with hearts for serving the Lord. We primiarly use the Sermons 4 Kids curriculum and the Grow Curriculum.
